Generally yes, but how and when matters.
- Before any entries are received: you can cancel freely by reaching out to our customer support. Meet Your Fan removes the campaign from explore and returns any staged entries.
- After entries are received, before the draw: you can ask us to cancel, but you must (a) refund any paid entries, (b) post a clear cancellation notice on the campaign page, and (c) notify entrants by broadcast.
The official rules should include a cancellation clause allowing this.
- After the draw, before prize delivery: cancellation is much harder. If winners have already been announced, you are generally contractually committed to the prize. The only common legal grounds for cancelling a declared winner's claim are fraud, ineligibility, or failure to respond within a stated window.
- Material change (e.g. different prize, different end date) is usually treated like cancellation of the old campaign and creation of a new one. Entrants must be given the option to withdraw.
Meet Your Fan records a reason on every cancellation. The reason and the timestamp are part of the campaign's audit log.
