Most are. Some aren't. The hallmarks of a legitimate online sweepstakes are:
- Official rules posted before any entry
- A clearly identified sponsor with a real address
- A transparent winner-selection method
- Winner published and reachable
- No requirement to pay to collect a prize
- No request for banking credentials or crypto keys to "claim"
Meet Your Fan enforces all of the above structurally:
- Official rules are mandatory before launch.
- Sponsor is the influencer's registered entity, surfaced on the campaign page.
- Every random draw is backed by a verifiable on-chain RNG via randomdraws.com. The proof (seed, timestamp, inputs) is posted to a public URL that anyone can cross-check.
- Winners are announced on the campaign page within the stated timeframe.
- Prizes are either on-chain (USDC to the winner's wallet, visible on Polygonscan) or physical/experiential (logged against the winner record).
- Meet Your Fan will never ask a winner for their private keys. Anyone claiming to be MYF staff and asking for keys is a scammer — report them.
