Canada treats random-draw promotions differently from the US. A pure random draw with consideration is an illegal lottery in Canada even with AMOE. To run a sweepstakes that accepts Canadian entrants, you must convert it into a contest of mixed chance and skill — typically by requiring winners to answer a mathematical skill-testing question before claiming the prize.
Meet Your Fan handles this automatically. If your campaign includes Canada in allowed_countries, Canadian winners are presented with a randomly generated four-step arithmetic question (e.g. (27 + 13) × 2 − 15 = ?) via the in-app skill-test modal. They must answer correctly, without assistance, within a time limit. The answer and timing are logged on the winner record.
Failing the skill test disqualifies the winner and the draw redraws. The redraw is logged in the same audit trail as the original.
If you don't want the complexity, exclude Canada from allowed_countries. The campaign page will show a geographic eligibility notice and Canadian fans will see a message instead of an entry button.
