Yes, for sweepstakes and contests. Direct sales ship with terms of sale instead.
Meet Your Fan has an official_rules field on every sweepstakes and contest. Filling it in is required before the campaign can go live. The rules must cover, at a minimum:
- Who is eligible (age, country, relationship to the influencer)
- How to enter (paid + AMOE)
- Start and end date/time, in a specific time zone
- How winners are chosen (random draw, judged criteria, skill test)
- Number of winners and description of the prize(s)
- Odds of winning ("depends on the number of eligible entries received" is acceptable)
- How and when winners are notified
- Sponsor name and address (the person or entity legally responsible — usually the influencer's business entity)
- Where the winner list will be posted after the draw
- Governing law and how disputes are handled
The AMOE disclosure ("No purchase necessary") must appear in the rules and in the marketing copy of the campaign page. Meet Your Fan's template surfaces the AMOE instructions automatically; they can't be removed.
