A US sweepstakes run on Meet Your Fan needs three things right:
- No entry fee for the sweepstakes itself. On Meet Your Fan, paid entries are legal only because we offer a free AMOE of equivalent value. Don't turn the AMOE off; don't make it materially harder than the paid path.
- Official rules prominently posted (see the official-rules article).
- Bonding and registration in specific states. If the total prize value is above a state threshold, you may need to register the sweepstakes and post a bond before it goes live. The current thresholds:
